HeroDevs Joins OpenSSF to Enhance Open Source Software Security Sustainability
HeroDevs joins the Linux Foundation’s Open Source Security Foundation to further enhance the security and sustainability of deprecated open source software.
[Sandy, Utah] — HeroDevs, the leader in securing deprecated open source software, announced its membership in the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF), an industry-wide initiative under the Linux Foundation to strengthen open source security.
As a new member of OpenSSF, HeroDevs is committed to collaborating with industry peers to strengthen the security and sustainability of open source software (OSS). This membership aligns with HeroDevs’ mission to provide a new, secure option for companies struggling to keep up with frequent OSS updates and end-of-life events.
“At HeroDevs, we’re all about keeping the web sustainable and secure, even when software reaches its end-of-life,” HeroDevs CEO Aaron Frost said. “Joining OpenSSF was a natural fit because it lets us focus on what we care about most—ensuring the tools developers rely on remain safe, even after they’re no longer actively supported. We're dedicated to maintaining the security of these projects so the open-source community can keep building with confidence.”
The OpenSSF community includes a wide range of organizations from across the technology industry, all dedicated to improving the security of open source software. As a member, HeroDevs will participate in working groups and initiatives that address critical security challenges.
