Sr. Paid Specialist
About the role:
We could bore you with corporate jargon, but let's be REAL. We need someone who can make money appear on the internet like it's some kind of digital sorcery. This is a SENIOR position for people who've been around the digital block a few times and know that "CPC" isn't just a typo for "CDC." You'll report to the Director of Marketing while being a crucial part of our Marketing Team. Basically, you're one of the people responsible for making sure our bank account numbers go UP instead of DOWN.
Job Responsibilities
- Transform our advertising budget into actual paying customers through the dark arts of paid search, display, and social media advertising
- Own our paid campaigns from conception to execution to analysis, like some kind of advertising helicopter parent who REFUSES to let their campaign children fail
- Develop strategies that make our competitors quietly whisper "how are they DOING that?" while looking at our conversion rates
- Obsessively track, measure, and report on campaign performance with the attention to detail of someone who counts individual sprinkles on cupcakes
- Continuously optimize campaigns because settling for "good enough" is for people who don't get invited to the cool marketing parties
- Collaborate with creative and content teams to ensure our ads don't look like they were made by someone's aunt who just discovered Canva
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience making internet ads that people click on PURPOSE
- Proven track record managing substantial ad budgets without breaking into a cold sweat
- Proficiency with major advertising platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.) and the patience to deal with their constantly changing interfaces
- Experience with analytics tools and the ability to extract actual insights from the data, not just stare at numbers until they blur
- Strong A/B testing skills and the emotional resilience to accept when your "obviously better" version bombs spectacularly
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (we care about results, not that C+ you got in Economics 101)
- Above ALL… an insatiable curiosity for your craft, a desire to own and grow the paid channel to something that makes a significant impact at a company currently growing like crazy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SEM automation tools that don't just set money on fire
- Knowledge of the tech industry and the ability to explain complex products without putting people to sleep
- Knowledge of Meta, TikTok, X (Twitter), and Stack Overflow advertising platforms (I know I know… “can you just know everything” seemed a bit too forward, though)
- Certification in Google Ads or other relevant platforms (yes, we know you hate taking those tests)
- Experience with CRO that goes beyond "let's make the button bigger"
- A sense of humor that survives monthly budget meetings
- The rare ability to speak both "marketing" and "normal human" fluently
